Love And The Law Of Attraction

There's so much confusion about love and attraction that it is a miracle that any relationship, whatever the nature, ever gets put together. Once you begin to notice the opposite sex as something cute or handsome, you are responding to emerging hormones that will affect most of the rest of your life.

That feeling that keeps you consumed with thoughts about the one you thought was so cute might be attraction, but it is not love. Love is something else entirely and comes in many forms. What's the Law of Attraction have to do with any of this? Plenty!

When you are young and daydreaming about someone two desks over, you are sending vibrations out to both the object of your attention and the Universe. Since attraction is a nice feeling, you are generating energy that gets the attention of the Law of Attraction. When that happens, Ms. Right or Mr. Wonderful will find you, sent by the Universe to fill your request. Stay alert! That person might not be who you were expecting.

When you get older and are thinking about marriage, starting a family and settling down with someone for the rest of your life, your idea of cute or handsome will have made some changes. Now you will want stability, a good income, sexual attraction and love. The person of your dreams will walk into your life if your visualizations are clear and not infected with negative emotions or fears of rejection.

Daydreaming is actually visualization, so be careful what you daydream about. While it might be fun to daydream about that wild thing on a Harley and riding off into the sunset, the Law of Attraction and the Universe will send something that matches your daydream, whether you meant it to or not. You will realize your mistake when the wild thing rides off into the sunset without you. Was that love? No.

If you are aching for close, loving friendships, you need to decide what that means to you…close, loving friendships. Do you want someone to have coffee with once in a while and talk about books? You need to visualize someone who's well-read, articulate and likes to drink coffee. If you want a friend to join you in playing computer games or to surf the Web, you need to visualize someone with computer skills, curiosity and can remember URLs.

But, if you want a friend who turns your mind on, shares dreams with you and will hold you when you are hurt or sad without asking questions, you need to visualize specific qualities. If you need a friend with an active, fertile intelligence of their own who can appreciate yours, visualize intelligence without arrogance and a gentle approach to life.

If you need one who is not afraid to dream and will reach for them when they start to float away, visualize imagination and creativity.

If you need a friend who will know when you need to be held while you cry your heart out in some deep pain, visualize one with compassion and experience with deep pain of their own.

When you need a friend who is not afraid to love you or feel your love in return, send all the love you can out to the Universe and more love than you ever thought about will be sent back to you.

Relationships based on myths about true love can be found everywhere. The simple fact is that bad love affairs and even worse marriages are products of what the participants visualized or sent out to the Universe. Teenage ones spark like lightning and burn out immediately, leaving someone devastated and wanting to die.

Partners marry, have children and split up. In the consuming chores needed to raise children, one or both of those partners might want out and leave the once happy home. The love they showed on their wedding day did not survive everyday pressures.

The only true love resembles the energy force of the Law of Attraction and cannot be broken by petty day-to-day troubles. It comes from the Universe and slides into your heart soft as angel feathers, filling you with total love. When that happens to you, your heart will sing and you will know that you just met the Law of Attraction.

Are You Getting a Spiritual Boost?

Have you met your own inner power yet? Or are you still struggling with finding and connecting with the spark of divinity within you? Perhaps you are not sure what your inner power, that spark of divinity we all have, actually is, or how to recognize it when you stumble upon it. Quite a lot of the confusion and misinformation surrounding your search for your own spirituality and connection to the Source is caused by the words used to describe something totally spiritual.

It is almost impossible to describe spiritual connections or flashes of Divine insight with language that we use to describe our everyday feelings and tasks. One of the real problems is that our language and use of it was originally created by tribal agreement on how to recognize the sights in front of them. They had no need to search for a spiritual connection or an understanding of the Source. It was all around them and a daily part of their lives. They felt it, recognized what it was and knew how to honor its presence in their own way. Words didn't matter. And they still don't.

When you start your journey deep into the miracle that defines you to the Universe, you will encounter spiritual revelations that you always felt or were aware of, but could not explain to anyone. That probably won't change, but it will matter less and less.

Before you get too deep into this journey into your own spirit, you should consider whether or not you know what it means to be spiritually powerful. Don't let the word "powerful" scare you any. We are all powerful in our own way. What you are feeling when you touch the Source is the Essence of the real you and the power you can access any time you want to.

Debates abound on what to call that Source and none of the answers matter one bit. Words are not feelings and definitely not a reflection of the spiritual core of your being. You will know it when you reach your own spiritual destination.

It is a sad state of affairs that most people are so battered by the state of the world they live in and the pile of problems in their own lives that they have lost the recognition of their own spiritual power. They feel empty, disconnected and lonely, even in a crowd. If you feel that way, your sense of lack of power comes from an inability to find your personal Source of power.

Spiritually powerful people have awakened their own sense of the Source and are comfortable in their private understanding of the miracles that surround them. They know and feel the actual Essence of that Source and let it freely exist within them. They are unafraid.

Spiritually powerful people are:

• Centered and secure with their knowledge

• Guided by the spirit within and connected to it

• Confident and courageous…not afraid of the Source

• Perceptive and insightful, while allowing others to find their own way to their spirit

• Considerate and compassionate, sending true love and caring to all in need

• Secure with their life purpose and following the path of enlightenment

Would you like to follow their example and reach that same level of contentment for yourself? It's easier than you think to move yourself to the same path spiritually awakened people travel.

Here are some simple ways to start:

#1…Meditation. This is one of the easiest and best ways to connect with your spiritual self. Spiritual wanderers, like most of us are at one time or another, tend to complicate simple processes. Productive meditation is better when it is simple and serene.

Just sit quietly in a comfortable chair, close your eyes, breathe deeply and slowly while turning your attention inward. Let everything rushing around inside you go. Release it all and focus on your own silence. Just BE one with your Universe.

The longer you do this, the better you will get at it. You will feel more centered, a deep serenity and totally connected to your inner power of the Universe.

#2..Spending Time In Nature. When you enter Nature, no matter how small a piece of it, you will be standing dead center in the Essence of the Source. The raw power of the Universe and its reflection will wrap itself around you and fill you full of wonder, if you will simply listen and feel.

Have you ever hugged a tree? Or had a conversation with a flower flashing its colors to get your attention? I certainly hope so. If not, you are missing out on a direct connection with the most powerful force you will ever experience. Try it! Don't be surprised if the tree hugs you back or the flower says, "Hello.".

You can feel the energy field, or "life force," by taking a walk through a park or forest and quietly listening to the sounds all around you. All things have an energy field around them and emit signals to those who are sensitive enough to listen. You will increase your spiritual power just by being still and listening to the energy. Just listen; it will find you.

Who’s In Control Of Your Focus?

Are you riding an emotional roller coaster as you go through your day? Do you wake up in a pretty good mood and find yourself sliding into a negative one created by external events or the people around you?

What is happening here is that you are turning control of how you feel over to something or someone else. Learning to deliberately use the Law of Attraction will return control of your emotions and focus back to you. That's where it belongs anyway.

If you are not keeping your focus protected and broadcasting the vibrations you want the Universe to receive, your abundance will never find you. The Law of Attraction is activated by your thoughts and feelings and will return more of what you are sending out. Think about that for a while.

We are all emotional beings and easily influenced by the day-to-day experiences we all have. If you are not used to controlling your own thoughts and emotions, you keep slipping back into old habits and tossing your focus into the trash.

All is not lost, however.

Here are two simple but powerful techniques to return control to you:

#1  “I make a choice to feel . . .”

Whenever you feel yourself getting derailed by events or other people, you can get back on track with these affirmations:

“I make a choice to feel awed by the beauty around me.”

“I make a choice to feel upbeat and know my good will find me.”

“I make a choice to feel peace in the face of turmoil.”

“I make a choice to feel joyful when those around me are not.”

#2  “I make a choice to believe . . .”

All of us can slide into negative thinking, even without realizing it. When you find yourself dealing with problems and seem to be swimming in black water, so to speak, take control back by using some or all of these statements:

“I make a choice to believe that my destiny is to have great success.”

“I make a choice to believe that whatever I desire I can achieve.”

“I make a choice to believe that all things will work for my higher good.”

“I make a choice to believe that I am in control of my feelings and my mind.”

Removing the negative focus and expectations and replacing them with totally positive affirmations will put you back in control of your own vibrations.

Affirmations are essentially mental and not emotional. Once you start affirming a positive emotion, you need to practice actually feeling it. Think about anything that makes you feel happy, calm or inspired.

Once you get both your thoughts and feelings vibrating on the same frequency, you will be in full control of your own focus. That's a good place to be.

Will Taking Action Speed Up The Law Of Attraction?

One of the constant, and maybe the hottest, battles being waged by the different factions of believers in the Law of Attraction is whether or not you have to take some direct action to make the principles work.

Some think just aligning your thoughts and feelings with a positive vibrational frequency is more than enough to bring what you want into your life. Others believe that if you don't take some action, nothing will happen. Both sides have valid points.

Taking action is a valid method of bringing the abundance of the Universe into your life, but is it necessary? Here's some points to consider when you are making up your own mind about what action to take…or not.

There's no doubt that adopting a more proactive role in the makeup of your own future is empowering. Feeling like you have no control over your life is definitely a downer and is a resistance to the success of the Law of Attraction. Taking action here will raise the frequency of your vibrations and make what you send out to the Universe stronger.

When you take some positive action on anything, you open up opportunities and channels that increase the possibilities of the Universe delivering more abundance than you ever expected.

Changing your thought processes and feelings will, without a doubt, change the results you get from the Law of Attraction into a positive force in your life. Taking action might make that force enter your life faster than just sitting around waiting patiently for it to arrive.

A passive approach to almost anything does not generate speedy results, but a more deliberate, slow return than you might anticipate.

If you just cannot decide upon a path to take, send this thought into the Universe and wait for the answer: “I’d like to bring _______ into my life; please show me how to make that happen.” It might not be what you expected, but you will surely get an answer.

If you decide on a course of action that will fill your life with abundance, have fun with it. Stay positive and don't make this process difficult or painful. It's not necessary. Some effort on your part will be required, but it doesn't have to be painful.

Are You Living A Sacred Life?

When you think of the word "sacred," do you picture something that is to be worshipped?  It could be, but it can also be a way of life.  Do you think life is sacred?  The fact that I get up every day and draw a breath is a sacred thing to me.  How about the rest of the day?  I have certainly found myself running around just trying to get by on a daily basis.  I forget to live with the awareness that my life is sacred and to treat it as such.  How many beautiful things do you think we all miss by living in a rush?  I'm thinking there are way too many of those moments.  How about we make a pact to not do that anymore?

I know it's easy to get caught up in being busy.  There are a lot of modern gadgets that help promote the busy-ness by extolling the virtues of time saving and labor saving features.  How ironic is that?  Life is more stress filled and chaotic than ever.  There is a way to calm most of the stress by taking a more gentle approach to life.  You can have a life that is infused with spiritual strength and purpose each moment of the day.

The simplest things are usually the best.  Here are three of them that could help you live a more sacred life:

1)            Stop for a moment.  You can't find sacredness in your life if you spend the majority of your time in hyper drive.  You're going so fast you are just going to fly right by any hint of the sacred!  Stop doing that and make a habit of stopping every once in awhile during the day to let go of stress and reconnect with your inner self.  It doesn't have to be more than a moment or two.  Just take a breath and listen to your spirit.

2)            Turn off the autopilot.  How's that heavy fog around your life feel?  A little scattered, maybe a bit disconnected?  You are on autopilot.  You are doing what you do today simply because it is what you did yesterday.  If you want to experience life at a deeper, more sacred level, you have to wake up and be aware of your spiritual self.  Once you stop for a moment as mentioned above, expand your awareness of everything around you.  You are a spiritual being having a physical experience, NOT the other way around.  Several times throughout your day, come to an awareness of your place in the universe and what a wonderful journey you are having in this life.

3)            Feel every joy.  Once you stop for a moment and turn off the autopilot, include a moment to find the joy in everything around you.  Find the joy in the experience, in what you see, hear, taste, smell and feel.  Savor your breakfast in the morning rather than eating on the run.  If the freeway becomes a parking lot on the way home from work, listen to some beautiful music and sing at the top of your lungs.  Whether you can carry a tune in a bucket or not, you should always sing like no one is looking!

These sound pretty simple and they are.  It also becomes easier when you do it on a regular basis.  You will notice a shift in how you view the world.  Everything will be quieter, less chaotic and you will learn to see the beauty around you.  Living a sacred life means nourishing your spiritual self.  You will find more meaning and serenity once you do that.
